Nozipho Ntshangase's husband seals the deal with second wife

Zola Ntshangase has finalised marriage to Misokuhle Nomsheshe

The Mommy Club reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase broke down on television, hoping her engineer husband of 17 years, Zola Ntshangase, would change his mind and not marry Misokuhle Nomsheshe as his second bride. However, despite her wishes, the businessman's polygamy dreams have come true.

SEALED

The marriage to Misokuhle has been made official, sealed in front of traditional Shembe church leaders. A close friend revealed the traditional wedding took place at the end of 2024, where both families bore witness to the union. "It's official; they are married. Nozipho has not accepted it; she is not doing well, but she will get there. It does not take away anything from what she and Zola have," the friend said.

LOBOLA

Last year, Zola had started lobola negotiations for a second wife, which Nozipho was against. When exposed, he released a statement stating it was his family tradition to take a second wife. "The Ntshangase family (kaKolisi), in accordance with our traditions and culture, has initiated lobola negotiations with the Maize family, and the process is still ongoing and heading towards finality.' Zola said he was aware of the backlash, stigmatisation, and abuse that his soon-to-be second wife, Misokuhle, was receiving from the media. "I, therefore, request that we observe the above in our endeavour to prosecute Ms. Misokuhle in the court of public opinion without having an account of the full facts in what is still a very personal and sensitive matter,' he added.

TRADITION

Nozipho and Zola have been married for 17 years, and she has been taking care of their eight children before he introduced her to polygamy. "It's been hard... literally waking up in the middle of the night, and I'll call a friend of mine, and I'm like, Thandi, how the f%ck did we get here?" Nozipho said. She said then that she never imagined her once perfect marriage would be affected by polygamy. "We had a plan. I've supported his career all along. We built his business; I used to run around to submit tender documents with my kids in the back seat," she recalled.
