Music producer Nota Baloyi has been on everyone's lips following rape accusations levelled against him by a top actress. He appeared at the Randburg Magistrate's Court yesterday and was released on R5,000 bail. He maintains his innocence and has vowed that he's going to prove that he didn't commit the crime.
CONSIDERING LEGAL ACTION
MacG, who is known for his controversial statements on his podcast, didn't hold back during yesterday's edition of his famous Podcast and Chill when discussing the music executive. "Nota could be right in everything he's saying but the moment she said no, it doesn't matter," he said. Sol Phenduka also weighed in and concurred with him. He said, "The deleted text messages prove that she said no and pushed him. A no means a no," he said. While the comments sparked a wide debate about the rape allegations, Nota told ZiMoja that he was thinking of pursuing legal options against anyone who accuses him of a crime he claims he didn't commit, especially when he hasn't been found guilty yet. In a tweet, Nota accused Sol of making unfounded accusations. "I'm weighing my legal options at the moment because there are comments that were made that were not true," Nota said.
LAW TO TAKE ITS COURSE
He is adamant that he's going to prove that he's innocent and that he didn't do it. "I'm allowing the law to take its course and hopefully the truth will prevail, and I'll clear my name, and everyone who didn't believe me will see my innocence. MacG and Sol Phenduka can't turn Chillers against me," he said.
