His fans thought he had quit his music career, a few years ago. But he was on a mini hiatus and made a solid return as Kwaito and Hip-Hop artist with the single iMoto Ka Shukela. Mzambiya, real name Nkosinathi Zwane has officially decided to quit music.

The owner of Earth Nurture Records confirmed that his time as a musician is up and he wants to now nurture new talent. "I am writing to formally resign from my position as a recording artist,' he shared in a statement. "After much consideration, I have decided to take a different direction in my career and pursue new opportunities. However, Earth Nurture Records still continues unearthing new talent and releasing music as we have promised.'

He is now stepping down and going behind the scenes while continuing his acting and TV presenting gigs. "I'm truly grateful for all the love since my debut in the year 2000,' he said. "I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the valuable experience and all I've learned about the showbiz community. Thank you for your support and understanding.'
Mzambiya started his music career around the early 2000s, with the songs Mele Senzeni and Jersey Number 10. From, Zola, Soweto, he is one of the most famous Kwaito recording artists who pioneered the genre. A few years ago, he opened up about making over R14 million in the past 20 years as a musician.
