Socialite Mandy Malebo, who shared a child with musician and producer Mondli Ngcobo, will be buried on Saturday in her hometown of Bloemfontein. Malebo, who was vocal on social media about her depression, passed away on Thursday. Speculation is rife that she allegedly committed suicide but the family has come out to say this is not true at all.

Malebo had previously accused Mondli of being an absent father. She shared that he only paid child support but never made an effort to spend time with their child. She lamented that Mondli had only seen their child once. She said despite this, her mother continued to defend the famous producer because he was sending money. She also claimed that her mom beat her after she spilled the beans in a video on social media. Mandy also claimed to have suffered abuse at the hands of the producer renowned for working with Kelly Khumalo.

This week, Mondli posted on social media that Mandy's family had asked him to forward a message on their behalf. "It is with deepest sadness that we confirm the passing of our beloved daughter Mandy Malebo. Mandy fell ill, complaining of a bubbling sensation in her stomach and was consequently hospitalised on 27th December. Her health deteriorated thereafter, which led to her losing her life," the message read. Mondli added:

"I have heard all kinds of hurtful speculations about the cause of death and about me but personally urge you to give her family space and grace to mourn the loss."
