His music is all about romance and love, so it was inevitable that he would eventually fall in love and have a family of his own. Singer and Idols season 9 contestant Musa Sukwene and his partner Tshiamo Makama recently welcomed their baby daughter. 

BUILDING A FAMILY

The couple got married discreetly and only later revealed their pregnancy. A close friend of Musa says he is very secretive about his life. "He has always been that person. He never liked to have his private life for public consumption. Even with the marriage, although they haven't had the big wedding celebration, he did everything accordingly," he says. "He is in a good place, happy and he and Tshiamo just welcomed their baby girl who is now a few months old. He is happy." the friend said. Musa tells ZiMoja that Musa's baby is the cutest. "She is the cutest and most adorable thing ever." But as a private person, Musa could not share more about his partner. You know me, I like to protect what I have."

ALL IN THE PAST

Before finding his 'forever love', Musa dated TV presenter Rorisang Thandekiso, but they both chose to keep the relationship far from the media. "It's just our preference and our choice," he said. Prior to that, he had a son with his ex-partner whom he revealed was denying him access to his child. "Success comes with a lot, and people will find something to throw shade. But my son have a good relationship and I will always provide for my family." 

ALL GROWN UP

In 2022, he released his 11-track album Backroom. Upon his music release, he reminisced on how far he had come in the music business from Idols SA stars who blew most of his earnings. "Everyone knew who I was, I was popular, and making money from bookings. I was blowing money easily. I was not used to the fame," he said. But he says he eventually woke up and realised his mistakes.
