Mr Brown vows to never come back to SA

Mr Brown says he has no plans of coming back to SA after his deportation

The deportation of music producer Lynol Siwela, also known as Mr Brown, in May of this year, has caused chaos in the South African music industry. Mr Brown, who produced most of Makhadzi's tracks, was deported to his home country of Zimbabwe for overstaying in South Africa. He has produced music for the likes of Makhadzi, Master KG, Lady Zamar, Kabza De Small, Zanda Zakuza, Nomcebo and many more.He has pledged never to come back to South Africa.

REFUSING TO COME AND SHOOT A MUSIC VIDEO

Mr Brown's deportation is being felt by many artists in the industry, including musician Innocent Mzimela, affectionately known as TyraQeed. The two had been working together on a song titled Ghodoba, set to be released next week. However, due to Mr Brown's deportation, the music video shoot for the song has been thrown into jeopardy. He told the artist that he is done with Mzansi unless TyraQeed goes to Zim to shoot the music video. A source who spoke to ZiMoja said that the musician even offered to cover his traveling costs including accommodation and he still said no.

NO PLANS TO COME BACK TO MZANSI

TyraQeed said he is sad that Mr Brown can't make it this side, but that he is willing to travel to Zimbabwe. "I would like to shoot the video with him because the song is good and he is a great part of the song," he said. The Zimbabwean-born producer has been instrumental in the success of many South African artists. His departure from the industry has left a void that many artists are struggling to fill. "The South African music industry was hit hard by COVID-19, leaving many artists struggling to make ends meet. The loss of Mr Brown's skills is a further blow to the industry, which is already struggling to survive," said a source. When called from comment Mr Brown said he has no plans of coming to SA at the moment.
