They say don't outshine the master, clearly Mzansi's biggest influencer and YouTuber Mihlali Ndamase is a living example of what happenes when you outshine those above you. Hardly a week after she came back from rubbing shoulders with the Barbadian Pop and R&B singing sensation Rihanna who was hosting the launch of her beauty brand Fenty Beauty in Los Angeles in the United States, Mihlali has already been unfollowed on social media by the beauty brand.
RUBBING RIRI THE WRONG WAY
This week, Mihlali received backlash from Rihanna's US fans on social media accusing her of trying to make Rihanna look bad after she edited her face leaving the songstress looking natural in the photo they took together. With a following of 2.4 million followers on Instagram, Mihlali even pinned the photo on her page. The picture quickly sparked debate amongst social media users, with some accusing Mihlali of sabotaging Rihanna by polishing only herself. Mihlali's short-lived affiliation with the Diamonds hit maker, abruptly came to an end when she was unfollowed by the beauty brand.
COMPARED BEUTY
The picture, which some say was meant to make Rihanna to look like a second-grade citizen, has come back to haunt Mihlali. The social media influencer had attended the Fenty Beauty Soft Lit Glow launch in Los Angeles, in the United States, a week ago where she got a chance to pose with the Umbrella singer. The photo of the two beauties was viewed more than 5.7 million times on Mihlali's X (former twitter) page. Meanwhile, the digital content creator and beauty influencer has recently being in the news for all the wrong reasons. In March she was accused of dating a married Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo when they were spotted in Miami in the US together. Chivayo dispelling rumours suggesting that they are dating. Wicknell is married to Sonja Madzikanda and have two children together.
