Veteran singer, actress, author, and former Idols SA judge Marah Louw has been awarded with an honorary doctorate in Philosophy in Arts and Music, from the Gonnafela Letlole Academy (GLA).
GRADUATES
Marah was among the hundreds of students who graduated alongside Dr Nolubabalo Mcinga who was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Honoris Causa at the Africa under The South African Royalties Development Foundation (SARDF) on 9 March 2024. The graduation ceremony of Ballsbridge University, the academy's partner in the UK, awarded certificates to their first students who registered with our TVET college at the same time. This history in the making took place at GLA main campus in Mmametlhake village, Mpumalanga. It was attended by the likes of Nkosi Eyenkosi Vusani the former Health Chef for the late Dr Nelson Mandela and Graca Machel. Marah's doctorate in Philosophy in Arts and Music. "I am truly honoured to have received this. It indeed shows that the hard work has not been in vain.'
PUBLISHING
This year Marah announced that she was in the process of publishing her second book, six years after she published It's Me, Marah in 2017 which documented her life from a child star to a veteran and celebrated theatre performer.
