"Why I killed her"

The police have opened cases of murder and inquest.

In a chilling video live on Facebook, a man has detailed how he stabbed his girlfriend to death and the reason behind his decision. After doing the live explaining his reason for the gruesome act, the 36-year-old man from Ga-Mashamothane, outside Burgersfort in Limpopo, went on to commit suicide by hanging himself on a tree.

'WHY I KILLED HER'

In the video the man claimed that his girlfriend had been cheating on him with a local school teacher when he was away at work. "I have heard too many times that she has been sleeping with the teacher who is her ex. She told me that the teacher made her drop out of school because he always wanted to sleep with her,' he said. He reiterated that he wanted the video to stay on his Facebook profile to serve as a lesson to others. He also said he was told that his 24-year-old girlfriend was still sleeping with the teacher. "I then decided to kill her, I went to her and stabbed her once in the neck and she bled profusely, but I could see that she was not dead and I continued to stab her multiple times all over her body. I then told her to rest in peace and that I loved her. I was angry,' he explained. "The way I killed that girl is painful, she didn't deserve it. I am also going to kill myself the same way.'
