A suspect (49) will be appearing at the the Bellville Magistrates Court on 18 November following his arrest in connection with a bomb scare.
The suspect apprehended yesterday following an operation in Mamre.

Hawks spokesperson, Siyabulela Vukubi, said It?s alleged that earlier this week an unknown man made constant phone calls to the Community Service Centre at the Bellville Police Station.
The man allegedly warned that explosive devices were placed at the Department of Water and Sanitation in Bellville, the Transnet Building in Bellville South and the Bellville taxi rank.
"The same threat was made during a call to the Road Traffic Emergency toll-free number on the same day," he said.
PHONE CALL TRACED
Vukubi said the investigation by the Hawks' team identified and a traced a cellphone number that had been calling the station.
"The number was used in the commission of the offence and thereafter placed in a different handset. A suspect was subsequently identified and a warrant of arrest was issued. On Friday, 15 November 2024, a search and seizure operation was conducted in Mamre, where several evidential materials were seized."
