In 2022, Major League DJ, Bandile and Banele Mbere were involved in a tragic accident on their way to an event in Middleburg, Mpumalanga, that almost claimed their lives.

Following the accident, they shared images of the accident scene showing their crashed tour bus following a car accident and Bandile on the ground.

They opened up about 'the craziest car accident' and how they almost most died. "God has really been good to us, we so grateful," the duo said.

Since then, Bandile has been limping and using crutches. He has finally revealed that he has spent two years on crutches after two operations.

OPERATIONS AND RAF DRAMA

Bandile has opened up about undergoing five surgeries and after being in a wheelchair, he is back to walking with crutches. He revealed that he recently had another operation and he hopes it is the last one. But the accident came with complications as Bandile has reportedly taken the Road Accident Fund (RAF) to court after they rejected his R3-million car accident claim. In a statement shared by the event organiser that had booked them on the day of the accident, only Banele made it to the event because Bandile was injured and sustained a knee fracture and an injury on his right knee ligament and also suffered psychological trauma. The twins were reported to have suffered R900,000 in general damages. An additional R50,000 for emergency medical treatment, and claimed R2.4 million for past and future loss of income which was caused due to the accident. They are seeking R3.3 million in compensation from the Road Accident Fund.
