Singer Lungi Naidoo and husband Karl Anderson welcomed their twins Isaiah and Raye born at Life Kingsbury Hospital in Cape Town in February. This is after the singer suffered three miscarriages.

BIRTH

Lungi said her journey to motherhood hasn't been a walk in the park. "We are absolutely thrilled to welcome our twins Isaiah and Raye Anderson to the world," she said after their birth. "It hasn't been a walk in the park but thank God for our miracle babies who are both doing well and are healthy. By His Mercy and Grace, we finally say goodbye to our Life Kingsbury Hospital NICU family and head home for the first time," she added. "We can't begin to thank the doctors, gynaes, nurses, hospital staff and the entire team enough for their 24/7 care and compassion and for helping us navigate and hold our hand through this very difficult time." 

MISCARRIAGES AND IVF

Lungi has opened up about suffering three miscarriages before the successful birth of her twins through IVF. "I never knew that this would be our story, but God am I grateful it is! Every trial and tribulation, every hurdle, every triumph, and this ? the IVF journey," she added. "Three miscarriages and a whole lot of tears and long nights of ?should we try again.' So happy we did one last time." Lungi says music has helped to get her through this challenging time, so did her hubby.

"Karl Anderson, you have been my strength, I wouldn't have made it through this without you. I know it was a bumpy ride and when I couldn't even bath myself, you did. You cared for our babies when I couldn't. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and telling me I'm beautiful at my worst."
