He died on 5 June 2021 after an evening service at his church, Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos Nigeria, just one week before his 58th birthday from unexplained causes. The late Nigerian pastor and televangelist TB Joshua was loved world over by his loyal followers, who believed he was their saving grace. Seven years earlier, on 12 September 2014, a guesthouse at SCOAN collapsed, killing at least 115 people, 84 of them were South Africans.

When TB Joshua died in 2021, one of his loyal servants and Prophet Godwill Agomoh Paul exposed him to being involved in witchcraft. "He ruled through the divide-and-rule method. He said he had done more miracles than Christ therefore he is more powerful."

In a recent expos?, T.B. Joshua is accused of sexually exploiting congregants at his Synagogue Church of All Nations and performing fake and staged miracles. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) released a three-part investigative documentary exposing the televangelist. Three former members of SCOAN shared details of how they were used as pawns in his game.

Those who claimed to have survived sexual assaults say TB Joshua manipulated them, abused and silenced them from speaking up about the abuse. They claimed to have been sexually molested and repeatedly raped by the pastor who claimed that the acts were all for their salvation. One of the women says she was a congregant at his church since the age of 14 years old and was raped ever since she joined. According to the survivors often they fell pregnant from the sexual assaults and forced to do back door terminations situated within the church. "He broke my virginity," One survivor claims. "I was screaming and he was whispering in my ears that I should stop acting like a baby. I was 17 years old. I was underage." One rape survivor who managed to escape the church says they were beaten, and shot at by criminals working for the pastor once they tried to escape.

The survivors also exposed how the popular pastor staged miracles for television and how his congregants were asked to exaggerate their struggles for 'healing' and they obliged. The doccie also exposed TB Joshua as having a child outside of his marriage and how he ill-treated the 28-year-old. She is said to have confronted her father about all the allegations of sexual assault before his death and was thrown out of the church and labeled a heathen, which drove her to depression. "The disciples dragged me out of the office, put me in a room and isolated me from the rest of the church," TB Joshua's daughter said. "I wonder how I lived through that time because they were hitting me with belts and chains. I couldn't shower for days. He felt threatened by the fact that I knew what was happening."
