A FAMILY MAN

"He never downplayed anyone he came across. If anyone came to him asking for a picture, he would gladly smile and give them the warmest hug. We are at a great loss," she said.

HE LIVED HIS PASSION

An industry colleague Nkululeko Captain said Papa G lived a wholesome life.

"We are grateful to have lived his life with him. Today is a painful day but we will hold on to the memories he left us with us. We used to call each other Muntwiza in theatre during the 70's. The first show he starred in was Doctor Pudi, then he moved to Gibson Kente and his career was blossoming."

He said a lot of people were trained by Papa G in the industry because that was his passion.

"He was focused and had a vision which he executed well."
