Maskandi singer Khuthuza, who was involved in a physical fight with Afrotainment social media influencer, Samkelo Shezi, over a girlfriend last weekend, handed himself over to the police. This is after Shezi opened an assault case against him following the fight between the two personalities at the famous KwaMaiMai in the Johannesburg CBD.

Shezi opened a case of assault with the Jeppe police in Joburg after the fight that was recorded on video and widely circulated on social media. Before the fight, the two men had been exchanging insults and unpleasant words on social media and this escalated into a physical fight when Shezi shared his location last Saturday challenging Khuthuzani to a fight. The maskandi artist who was nearby, accepted the challenge and went to the venue where a physical fight ensued between the two. Eyewitnesses say that the men exchanged heated words before they started attacking each other until they were stopped by security. Shezi opened a case on Tuesday and the police announced that they were looking for Khuthuzani who handed himself over yesterday. He appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrate Court the same day facing an assault charge for allegedly beating up Shezi at the Joburg's tourist venue. Khuthuzani had claimed that Shezi was jealous of his success and was trying to bring him down.

Khuthuzani was released on bail and will appear in court next week Thursday. After his court appearance, Khuthuzani also opened a counter assault case against the social media influencer. Speaking to ZiMoja after court appearance, Khuthuzani said: "I'm more scared of jail but I'm not scared of this boy."

Shezi said he wants Khuthuzani to rot in jail and that he is not worried about the counter charge that he is facing. "He thinks he is a starring -people like him end up in jail," he concluded.
