Actress and TV presenter, Khanya Mkangisa, is expecting her first baby. The child star hinted last year to ZiMoja that she would announcing something major in her life and that she was ready to settle down. The Blood and Water actress showed off her baby bump on the latest cover of a local digital publication. Although she does not mention the father of her child, last year Khanya was dating Desmond Williams, who is the ex-husband of Mawe Vudla, Tshepi Vundla's sister.

PRESSURE

This year, she turns 36-years-old and in a previous interview with ZiMoja, she said she was in a content place in her life and has achieved a lot more than she had set out for herself. "I want my next project to be of value and meaningful," she said.

Khanya says as she grows, she is learning to be calmer and settled. "I have grown in the industry. I have experienced the pressures and overcome them. But I am calmer now that I am slowly approaching 40," she says. "We all put pressure on ourselves to achieve certain goals when we get to a certain age. I have been the same. I am happy and content with the work that I have done." 

STARTING A FAMILY

Khanya has hinted that she wants to start a family of her own. "In as much as it's been a highlight, it's been a challenge convincing myself that it's okay to age and not feel pressured. I love a good stable home and hope to have that one day." Khanya was a child star and started her career at 15 years old; presenting kiddies shows, hosting and MCing before moving into acting.
