A Jozi FM DJ is still traumatised after being hijacked at gun point by three men. DJ Toyoter was at a petrol station in Lenasia South when three men carrying AK47 guns hijacked him about two weeks ago. He tells ZiMoja that the criminals pointed guns at him when he was inside the car and forcefully dragged him out while kicking and slapping him. He was then instructed to lie on the ground while the suspects entered his vehicle and drove away.
Born Louis Radebe, he hosts Ghetto Radio on Friday evenings and is grateful he was not harmed during the hijacking. "To be honest, I am drained. I am just grateful for my life; I can always replace the car, "he said. He added that he has hopes that his car, a BMW coupe 325 will be found. "We have been getting leads but nothing is concrete. I am just annoyed about this matter," he added.
He added that he was still traumatised and even scared to drive. "If I could, I would stop driving, but I can't because I have to drive to get around," he said. A source from his work said he has not being himself ever since the incident. "He is still shaken and traumatised by the incident. We even suggested that he seeks professional help, but knowing him, he won't," added the source. His bosses even pleaded with the public to be on the lookout for his car. "There is still nothelp, people call and say they spotted the car, but it turns out it's just a false alarm," he added. Another source close to the situation says DJ Toyoter must forget about finding his car. The source says such cars are in demand. "I am sure wherever it is now it is in pieces, these guys are experts when it comes to stripping cars,"
