The EFF celebrated their 10th anniversary

The fifth biggest stadium in the world was painted in red with EFF supporters filling it up to maximum capacity. EFF is celebrating 10 years and FNB Stadium, in Soweto, was their venue of choice to mark this anniversary.

A MILESTONE

EFF was established in 2013 under the leadership of its Commander-In-Chief Julius Malema and the organisation hosted week-long celebrations under the theme, "10 years decade of unbroken struggle." Malema addressed his supporters and thanked them for their presence.

"I am happy to be part of this gathering today. This was possible because of you Gauteng as a collective and the rest of other provinces, and in particular Public Representatives who got their constituencies transport to come here,"he said.

Malema added that he salutes all those who sacrificed their lives for the EFF.

"I salute you and bow my head in honour of the July 26 Movement of Commandante Fidel Castro, from who our movement draws so much inspiration and courage. I stand here saluting the Cubans for giving us a meaning of revolution and a revolution just needs a few brave men and women, who have courage and love in their hearts."

He thanked the political organisations that came to celebrate with them as well as the widows of Marikana. He added Marikana gave birth to this revolutionary movement. "The doomsayers sayers said we would never achieve 1% of votes and that our organisation was formed out of anger and would never last."

HEALTH ELECTRICITY AND EDUCATION A PRIORITY

Malema said the organisation aims to make education fashionable and was in the process of bringing proper health care to the poor.

"It is the EFF that donated R15 million to COVID-19 Solidarity Fund to make sure that we support the poor or the poorest. Comrades, we are going to work with Cuba to establish a quality Primary Healthcare to make sure that in SA there are proper clinics. The people of Hammanskraal must get clean water and our traditional leaders given the recognition they deserve. We don't want loadshedding in South Africa. We want reliable electricity in South Africa. ESKOM ke mathata. Mohlagase mo South Africa ke mathata"

Malema thanked the organisation's student leaders and urged them to not I only focus on political affairs but to pass as well.

" I need sunglasses because the future looks bright. We are taking government in 2024,"he said.
