TV presenter Minnie Dlamini left tongues wagging when she expressed shock at the fact that her ex-boyfriend, Itumeleng Khune, still played soccer. In a short video clip from her show Curated by Tanqueray that went viral yesterday, the media personality said: "No guys Khune still plays?" Someone in the studio responded "He plays" Minnie's expression was priceless, during the video, there were some giggles in the studio. This, did not sit well with Khune's fans as they dragged her throughout yesterday with some calling her a bitter ex and that Khune's career lasted longer than her marriage to Quinton Jones.

'IT WAS A JOKE'

Speaking to ZiMoja, Minnie sets the record straight citing that it was all in the name of fun and there is no bad blood between her and the Chiefs goalkeeper. "People must not take things seriously, it was all a joke- there is no bad blood between him and me," she said. She explained that her writers on the lifestyle show make fun of anything and anyone. "No man it was just a joke. I have a comedian who writes my opening monologue for the show," she said. She said even she is not safe sometimes."They make fun of me mostly and what's going on in society. It's all in the name of fun and entertainment. No malice at all," she added.

THE PAIR DATED FOR THREE YEARS

The two dated back in 2011 but broke their engagement around 2014. Minnie has since spoken about her relationship with Khune and told Jacaranda FM that she was too scared to break up with the soccer star because of what people would say. In another interview, Minnie denied that she was ever engagedt o Khune. "The worst misconception is that Khune paid lobola for me. That's the worst one, I hate it. People still think it's true. The relationship wasn't that hectic," she said. Khune married his wife Sphelele Makhunga in a traditional wedding in June 2022 and the couple has two children together.
