The Wife actor Sipho Ndlovu is accused of assaulting his girlfriend after she allegedly caught him with another woman. Thandeka Mhlanga (33) who hails from Ntuzuma in Durban, KwaZulu Natal, and currently based in Fourways is accusing the actor who plays the role of Banze in the drama series Isitha of assaulting her before shutting the gate on her face.

THE ASSAULT

According to Thandeka, Sipho called her just after 6pm on Saturday to wish her a good night as he was about to go to sleep. Thandeka told ZiMoja that she became suspicious as she knew that he doesn't usually sleep that early. She added that she tried calling him just after 8pm but he did not pick up her calls. "When he finally answered my call, he pretended to be sleeping but I could hear that he was not in bed. I then drove to his place and when I arrived there, the security refused to let me in until I forcefully let myself inside the estate," she said.

Thandeka said she found the actor at the gate and that she could see the other woman through the glass door. "He blocked me from entering the house and he slapped me and pushed me to the ground before throwing me out," she said. The couple has been dating since January of this year. "At first, I thought this was just a fling, nothing serious, until he started asking me to spend more time at his place. We agreed that in a month I would spend two weeks at his place and two weeks at my place. Everything was fine until I found out that Sipho was cheating on me," she said.

CHEATING ACCUSATIONS

Thandeka claimed that she found out weeks earlier that Sipho was cheating on her when she searched his phone when he was drunk. "He was drunk and I made sure that I went through all his social media pages, where I found out that he was flirting with a lot of girls. I asked him about all of this and he apologised. We let it go because he promised to stop. At that time, he was busy asking me to move in with him. I wasn't ready to stay with him full time," she said. 

ASSAULT CHARGE

Thandeka told ZiMoja that she opened an assault case at the Cosmo City Police Station but she was still waiting for a case number. Sipho said he was planning on opening a trespassing case against her. "I have the videos and the security can attest to the fact that she came in forcefully with no code," he said.
