"I'm trusting God"

Mboro was back in court today

Pastor Paseka 'Mboro' Motsoeneng told his lawyers where to get off when they tried to stop him from talking to journalists when he appeared in court today. The self proclaimed prophet was back at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court to apply for bail with new facts.

TRUSTING GOD

Soon after arriving in court, Mboro attempted to address the media on why he was back in court to his defence's disapproval. "I'm trusting God," he told journalists. As he was about to continue, his defence tried to stop him from saying more, to which he responded: "Hae hae lona, ntlohelong, ntloheleng (hey you, leave me alone, leave me alone) No, this is my life." Mboro went on to tell the media that he had countercharges without divulging more. "I will tell you this things after; there is a lot happening here. But I'm trusting God," he said.

SECOND BID FOR BAIL

Mboro and his bodyguard Vincent Baloyi were denied bail last month, while his son Revival Motsweneng, was released on a warning after spending more than two weeks behind bars. Initially, Mboro and Baloyi were scheduled to appear in court on the 21st of October 2024, when their case was postponed for further police investigations. His defence council told the court that they have new facts that could strengthen his bail bid. However, the state prosecutor said the docket and the investigating officer were not present in court. The matter was postponed to 9 September. Mboro, his son and bodyguard were arrested early last month after they were seen wielding pangas and guns at the Matshediso Primary School in Katlehong, demanding the release of his grandchildren, whose mother passed away in April. Mboro accused the kids' maternal grandmother of using them to get money out of him and his son. He claimed that they were staying with them before their mother passed.
