His family described him as a pillar of strength, and his friends said he was loyal and an inspiration to them. Murdered DJ Tsitso, real name Rametsi Daniel Tladi was shot six times on the evening of 20 December and passed away on 29 December. Friends and family gathered in Atteridgeville, Tshwane to honour his life during his memorial service.
CHANGING LIVES
DJ Tsitso's friend, Petso, said the two of them were as thick as thieves and was a brother figure in his life from primary school. "I would give anything to have him back. We ate together at school, during lunch breaks," he said. "He worked hard and changed his family's situation, and that also inspired me,' he said. "Tsitso changed my life profoundly. The first time I boarded an airplane and sat among renowned artists like Kabza Da Small was because of him,' he said.
LOVING FAMILY
Daniel, a family member said he went all out for his children and family. "He would sell his phone to put food on the table for his children. He loved them." Another close friend revealed that when he passed, he was in the process of opening a foundation for disadvantaged children. DJ Tsitso became popular playing Bacardi music in and around Tshwane.
