She does not hold back in speaking her mind on any platform. Influencer, YouTuber, and club hostess Inno Morolong says she is ready to put her money where her mouth is in the latest boxing match organised by Studex, The Nelson Mandela Foundation, and the International Boxing Association. Founder and of Studex Meat, entrepreneur, a crypo exchange businessman and Cyril Ramaphosa's youngest son, Tumelo Ramaphosa, tells ZiMoja, that using celebrities is a way of promoting the sport. "It's part of our global expansion," he says. "I have been wanting to do this for some time as a martial arts fanatic. But people don't want to see me fight but would rather see a famous person. Celebrity boxing in SA has been very successful. This is a friendly game. We want to promote the sport and encourage people to support it."

THE GENTS

Participating in the boxing match is celebrity boxer Phumlani Njilo, the brother of Faith Nketsi's ex-hubby Nzuzo, who fought against Big Zulu previously. This time, he will go against former Skeem Saam actor and stunt double, Pholoso Mohlala. "I am excited to be doing something different outside of acting," Pholoso says. "I have been training. Njilo is a professional boxer, but I am more into martial arts but with my job as a stunt double, I stand a good chance."

Phumlani Njilo says Pholoso does not stand a chance. "I like his confidence, but there is no way he is winning." Phumlani says he can't wait for the big day. "It's all about pomoting the sport of boxing."

WOMEN'S BOXING

Inno Morolong will go against Ashleigh Ogle. Inno tells ZiMoja that she is not afraid of Ashleigh. "I am going to moer her! I am not scared of her," she says. "I have been laying low from controversy and posting on social media, but I am back and will provoke her." Inno says, besides her "drama" she is happy to be part of the initiative that promotes boxing. "We have some of the best boxers in the country, and I would gladly participate in helping to promote the sport." Ashleigh recently parted ways with former Springbok's player Elton Jantjies following domestic violence allegations. "I want to do this for the survivors of GBV, like me. To show them that they can defend themselves. This is not just another regular fight, but an ode to women, so I will make sure that I win.

A KNOCKOUT

Had she had a choice on who to fight, Inno says she would love to knock out an influencer and club hostess who she has "beef" with but cannot name. "There are a lot of disrespectful people whom I would love to teach a lesson in the ring. You know, I don't condone violence, as long as it's regulated like in the boxing ring and it's safe." Inno says she has started training for the big day taking place on 21 April 2024 at the Durban ICC. "April is my birthday month so I can't wait to win and enjoy the spoils. I know I am going to win."

Tumelo says she wants to include more women in boxing as they have been sidelined for a long time. "In the evolution of sports, we have not seen much women inclusivity," he says. "This was long overdue; women wanted the platform. They want to be able to defend themselves in a platform like this in combat sport."
