She feels like her safety and that of her girl children is being compromised after the owner of the house she is staying in removed the windows to renovate. Award-winning actress Gcina Mkhize has had an ongoing dispute with businessman Dzivhu Tevin Mashila, who allegedly bought her home on auction. Dzhivu said she had defaulted on her bond payment and he purchased it legally. Gcina and her children have been living in the home for nine months since it was sold, Dzivhu has removed the windows and is renovating the home.

HOME DISPUTE

Gcina revealed on her social media that she feels unsafe and that she lives in a home without windows. 'I lay awake asking myself what could happen. Anyone can step into my room and do as they please,' she said. "We need help, I am unemployed, I am a single mother and we don't have food. Our electricity has been cut off by this guy. We don't have resources.' Gcina said she has not had an acting job in a while and is struggling to make ends meet.

RENOVATIONS

Dzivhu told ZiMoja that he has been struggling to get Gcina out of the home he bought. "I offered that she rents the home for R12k and she said yes but then changed her mind. I am basically paying for her to live in my house,' he said. "I took the windows out because I want to renovate the house,'

he said, adding that a lot still needs to be done to the home. I want to fix the house, but I can't because she won't leave. The other day she brought her sangoma and prophet or whatever to do scary things to the house, and the other tenants are starting to get scared,' he said, adding, "she's looking for public sympathy at my expense. It's not good."
