A defiant Nonku Williams has not apologised to her former lover Dumisani Ndlazi, known as Rough Diamond (RD) after he threatened to sue her for 'defaming' him. The Real Housewives of Durban star had until Sunday, 3 March, to apologise to her ex or face legal action.

RD'S DEMANDS 

In the letter by Ndlazi's lawyers, Sabelo Khubisa of Khubisa Attorneys, he demanded that she writes an apology addressed to him and share it on all media platforms where defamatory material was shared. "Should you fail to publicly apologise to our client as outlined, we shall have no alternative but to take further legal action against you for damage on the ground of defamation," the letter of demand stated. Nonku also accused Ndlazi of stealing her construction material worth R300 000 on TV and social media, which Ndlazi's lawyers said was false and defamatory. The letter said, "Our client will be forced to protect and clear his good name and reputation by taking all necessary legal steps...We hereby demand that you immediately retract and remove all social media posts and or pages on social media platforms containing any false and defamatory information or misrepresentations such as those explained in the letter. You made such allegations knowing very well that are untruthful and unlawful but continued to publish it with the sole intention of causing damage to our client's reputation and dignity. It is our instructions that these allegations levelled against our client were made in an effort to damage the good name of client in both his personal and professional capacity,"

COUNTER CLAIM 

Khubisa confirmed to ZiMoja that the businesswoman has not apologised to his client as per their demand and that she has launched a counter claim. "She did not apologise, instead her lawyers sent us a letter with demands," Khubisa said. The former couple had been in a romantic relationship that ended last year. So far, a defiant Nonku has not removed the "defamatory" posts, and according to a source close to her, all she wants from Ndlazi is for him to pay her money. "She won't apologise because he owes her money. Ndlazi has since moved on and shared pictures of himself and his new partner on social media while Nonku said she was ready to find love again." Nonku could not be reached for a comment.
