It has been a little over five years since the passing of rapper and Jabulani "HHP' Tsambo who committed suicide. Fondly known as Jabba among his loyal fans, the troubled Motswako rapper had been battling depression and confessed to several other suicide attempts before his passing at the age of 38 at his Randpark Ridge home. Since then, his father passed on and his mom has been battling health issues.

 

HHP'S FATHERS PASSING

 

In 2021, HHP's father, a retired psychologist Rocks Tsambo passed away at a North West hospital, after a long battle with an undisclosed disease. He passed away not having accepted his son's marriage to PR specialist and reality TV star Lerato Sengadi. "I would like to put this matter to rest and categorically state on record that Ms Sengadi is not and was never married to Jabulani. She is not his wife!' he once said. "Ms. Sengadi is Jabu's ex-fiancée and moved out of his home and his life on her own accord last year. She and her mother were requested to desist from spreading this falsehood. As things stand, the Tsambo family reserves its rights should Ms Sengadi continue to peddle these falsehoods." 

 

MOM BATTLING HEALTH ISSUES

 

Since HHP and Rock Tshambo's passing, his mother has battled with health issues. A family member tells ZiMoja that she has been in and out of hospital. "At first Jabba's death affected her health,' he says. "She has not been okay since he died. It has been a lot of issues. At one point, she was struggling with mobility and walking. But after his unveiling, seeing all his friends and the love that everyone had for Jabba, his family and most especially his son, she became better,' the family member says. "But days are not the same. At the moment, she is not okay. She is at home and working on her health. Her health issues are all related to age mostly and heartbreak. There is not a day that she doesn't think about her son. But she is staying strong for her grandchild Leano, who at the moment is without a mom or a dad. But thank God that he is a good kid. He works hard, is an A student and the family has done a great job in raising him.' The family member says HHP's friends often check up on his mom and the family.

HHP's widow,

 Lerato Sengadi has bagged a reality TV deal as the cast member of Widows Unveiled and will be opening up about the hardships of being a widow. "People will see the truth of what they think they knew about me. I have always been quiet and fought my battles silently. Now I am telling what I can in my own words and my own time.' Asked whether she is still in contact with HHP's family and whether they have made peace, Lerato dismissed the question and did not respond. Lerato's mom passed away during the back-and-forth in court.
