They were once the most booked, Durban Hip-Hop trio. Witness the funk (WTF) broke into the music industry with their hit single Nomusa, followed by Volovolo. Then out of nowhere, they vanished. Gqom Trap stars; Lindokuhle "Efelow" Gcwensa, Charles "Aux Cable" Mchunu, and Nhlakanipho "Moshine Magnif" Shongwe have now returned to the music scene.

VANISHING

They created the group during their first year at university. At first, they called themselves College Boyz with the release of their debut single, Funky Laces. Aux Cable was a Medical Science graduate, and Moshine Magnif was completing his final year of a BCom degree. At the height of their careers, the former UKZN students vanished from the limelight.

NEW MUSIC

The group attempted to make a comeback five years ago but that was unsuccessful. The trio released their ?come-back' song Ishumi on Friday. "Ishumi is a vibrant and soulful anthem. It narrates a captivating tale of the experience of encountering an irresistible woman," the trio said in a statement.

THE RETURN

Thrilled to be back, the Durban artists say their single., Ishumi is "a song that reflects the essence of the connection and affection in a way that we hope will resonate with our listeners," they added.
