Gospel singer Fikile Mlomo has been in hospital in Durban for over a month. She confirmed the news to ZiMoja from her hospital bed. "Yes, I can confirm that I am currently in hospital and I have been here for six weeks," she said.

Mlomo said she is no longer in pain but she can't walk. She told Zimoja that she lost her mobility over a month ago. "My whole body was in pain and the next thing I fainted. I was rushed to hospital and suddenly I couldn't walk," she said. She said she cannot feel her lower body. Mlomo, who is still waiting for the test results to determine what could be wrong with her, said she remains positive and optimistic whatever happens to her. "I know this is the Lord's will and I am leaving everything in His hands and that of doctors. I know whatever I am going through, the Lord remains in control. I know he won't leave nor forsake me, I have prayed about it and am not sad. I remain positive whatever the result come back as," she added. But luckily with the support of her friends and family members who have been by her side since day one, she is able to smile and forget that she is in hospital. "I have been blessed beyond with good friends and supportive family. I appreciate every effort and everything they have done up to this point," she added.

Mlomo who has not dropped any album since 2020, said music is the last thing on her mind at this moment. Firstly, she wants to deal with challenges and obstacles that have been going on around her life and her career. "I will make music when I am in the right frame of mind. I have been writing songs and most of them are inspired by my personal experiences and the things I have survived so far," she concluded.
