He was devastated when a social media troll, using a burner account accused him of being a deadbeat dad. The account with the name, Amanda Waller, shared some damning details about actor and restaurant owner Andile Nebulane, saying that he sleeps around and does not take care of his children. These allegations have led to his legal team taking action against the account holder whom he managed to track down.
A DEAD BEAT
Amanda wrote in the social media post, "Please stay away from this man. His name is Andile Nebulane, better known as Dali from Generations. He's a deadbeat who sleeps around, impregnates women, and then abandons his children. Sasithe (We said) deadbeats must be named and shamed mos," the ghost account writes. "He masquerades as a present father, yet he'll disappear for weeks, leaving his children alone while on drinking sprees. Some of his kids don't even know what R2 from him looks like ke phof." The person went on to ask whether his employee, Mfundi Vundla on Generations: The Legacy was happy with his employee being an absent father.
RUBBISHING CLAIMS
Speaking to ZiMoja, the Eastern Cape-born actor rubbished the claims of being a deadbeat saying that everything he does is for his family and children. "Anyone who knows me will tell you how I put family first," he said at the time. "It's very brave for a ghost account can be brave enough to say these things. Whoever the person behind the account is should come forward and show their face and make claims with their chest." Andile added that he refuses to have his "hard-earned name dragged through the mud? by people who don't know him. Since the post on social media, he has received numerous calls from family members and close friends. "As much as I am not bothered about what is written about me, it touches a nerve when it has to do with my kids," he said. "They have been receiving screenshots from friends, showing them, the post and you can imagine how they feel. This is truly insensitive. Come for me, leave my kids out of it. This is all lies and right now, all I care about is protecting my children. I know I am an amazing father."
Lilitha Bolani was forced to apologise for the defaming statements about Andile Nebulana
THE APOLOGY
According to a close friend, months after trying to track down the troll, Andile hired an investigate and spent over R25 000 to track the real account user. He has since tracked down the troll with his team and handed the woman whose real name can be revealed as Lilitha Bolani from the Eastern Cape. He, through his lawyer contacted the lady, who was in disbelief and she gave a brief apology on social media. "On the 2nd of May 2023, I tweeted about Andile Nebulane. I retract that tweet as it was not my place to comment on his personal life. My apologies." When called by ZiMoja, Lilitha did not wish to avail herself to share her side of events. "I am sleeping." She also failed to return the call as she had advised. Another close friend of Andile says he invested time and money because he took time to build his brand and will not allow it to be tarnished by anyone. "The girl does not know him, has never met him. They have never spoken and she chose to pick on someone who has invested time and money in making sure his brand is clean," the friend says. "He is a good dad and has worked really hard. It's time people invest in exposing social media bullies, especially those who hide behind fake accounts." The friend says that Andile is currently in the process of taking legal action should Lilitha not rectify the defaming claims.
