HER CAREER

When she launched her career as a DJ, people criticised her and said she was too old to be gyrating at nightclubs half naked. Since then, she has been booked for nightclubs, concerts and festivals. "God's timing is perfect. Delay is not denial. Trust in the process,' she said. "I've made a dream come true. Whether this makes sense to you or not, worry about yourself and make your dreams come true. I was always so worried about what everyone would say about this decision, for nearly a decade. I practiced until I couldn't stand. I'm so happy because I overcame the fear of judgement, forgetting that only God has the right to judge me. I'm free,' she said about her DJing career.

Pearl is now working on a song with rapper Sizwe Alakine, where she is a vocalist on the track titled Kusile. "I am not singing but I'm also not rapping,' she told ZiMoja. "People will like it, then they must just wait and see," she said. She has, however, not quit acting and said when the right role comes, she will take it. Some of DJ Zinhle's followers have tried to pit the two against each other. But they have remained firm, saying they are still good friends. "Our friendship is so organic. We're friends forever. It's not going to end," DJ Zinhle once explained.
