He has sold out his All Access Tour at the World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden in New York. Grammy Award-winning musical maestro Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo is taking some of his South African peers and friends in music to the international stage on 7 October.

TAGGING ALONG

His special guests will include Major League DJz at The Garden on Saturday, October 7, featuring special appearances by Bucie, Delilah Montagu, Maxine Ashley, Monique Bingham, Mr. V, Msaki, Portia Monique, Shoba, Soul Star, Roland Clark, Zoe Kypri, WhoMadeWho, and a 12-piece orchestra. Black Coffee recently hosted his official send-off party ahead of his historic show at Altitude Beach Club in Fourways and featured a star-studded line-up of artists. An unforgettable evening of music, culture, and celebration. "It's always been about building a brand that is strong outside of the continent and try and do this kind of genre on the highest level possible," Black Coffee says. There are a lot more other people he wishes to have included in the set, such as Shekinah. "I have a song with Shekhinah, but couldn't include it to my set, I just did a remix for a Snoh Aalegra song and could've had her at the show, but the song doesn't fit the set. I build a set based on just music and then the artists would come through that selection," Black Coffee says.

AN INTERNATIONAL ACT

Having made his success on the world stage, the Grammy Award winner says, he always had a global outlook on music and had a vision of seeing African music on the world stage. He says it is his humble beginnings that opened up his mind. "I'll be driving a super fancy car and I see guys at the back of a van, and I say, ?I used to be that guy.' I see guys at the carwash washing cars, I used to be that guy, I see a guy at a barber shop cutting hair, I used to be that guy. So, I was exposed to being in all these places, so I could learn about life and always stay humble. I was always prepared for this journey," he says.
