Former Miss South Africa Teen 2006 Zizo Beda has lost her mother, Reverend Nonceba Beda. Reverend Beda passed away yesterday and her daughter who is also a former model, radio and television personality announced her passing on her social media pages. Zizo paid tribute to her mother, whom she described as a person who taught her and her siblings about life centred on Jesus Christ.
PAYING TRIBUTE
She wrote on her page: "Jesus! Thank you for one of the most meaningful relationships of my existence - the one between me and the one you trusted to bring me and my siblings into the world, the relationship between me noMama. Thank you for your whole life Mama!!! Enkosi kakhulu (thank you) for teaching us about a life centred on and in Jesus Christ, Mama. Rest ngoku, beloved Reverend Nonceba Beda. The mountain is no match for a heart planted in faith."
ROSE TO FAME
Zizo and her family in the Eastern Cape have not yet announced the date of her mother's burial and the memorial service. Zizo, who is originally from Dutywa in the Eastern Cape, made a name for herself in the hustling and bustling life of Joburg on Selimathunzi. She also co-hosted the 11th Annual Metro FM Music Awards, alongside Metro FM radio DJ Tbo Touch in 2012. In December 2015, she married Mayihlome Tshwete, at a white wedding ceremony at Gonubie Manor in East London in the Eastern Cape, which was then followed by a traditional Xhosa wedding, that was attended by many high-profile guests. However, their marriage did not last as they separated in 2021.
