Former Gagasi FM presenter Penny Ntuli gets a job offer

Penny Ntuli has been offered a private sector job

Former Gagasi FM presenter, Penny Ntuli, who broke the internet on Monday with her story that she was being paid peanuts, must be thanking her lucky stars. After making her meagre salary of R2 800 public, ActionSA's KwaZulu-Natal Premier candidate, Zwakele Mncwango has already found her a job in the private sector.

JOB OFFER

Mncwango wrote about the good gesture on his Facebook page: "I don't know Penny, but her story touched me, especially when I saw comments from other politicians disrespecting her. Just seeing the leaders making fun of someone's sister is not helping. I ask those who know her to ask her to contact me. I have a job for her, it is not related to politics but it's a good offer. She can start that work with immediate effect in the private sector."

Speaking to ZiMoja, Mncwango confirmed that he has reached out to Penny with a job offer. "She has not responded which I completely understand because her story aroused a lot of public debate both negative and positive. The reason why I decided to reach out to her was because of the negative comments and people who were rejoicing her downfall,' he said. When asked what kind of a job he was offering, he said, "It would be insensitive of me to discuss that in the media before I speak to her, but all I can say it is a private job in the medical field,' Penny could not be reached for a comment as her phone rang unanswered.

MORE PRESENTERS LEFT THE STATION

Meanwhile, other on-air personalities have quit the Durban-based Gagasi FM after Ntuli's dramatic exit. Those who quit on Tuesday include former actor and presenter, Khaya Dladla and in-house comedian and contributor Flymotion SA. Dladla, who has a lead role on the e-tv telenovela, The House of Zwide, will be leaving the station on Friday. He said in his statement that he was leaving the station because due to the non-conducive environment. "The trajectory of my personal brand is no longer aligned with the station; however, I would like to thank every single person who made my journey at Gagasi FM a fruitful one," he said. Flymotion SA, whose real name is Sandile Makhanya, released a statement partly saying, "It is with a heavy heart that I leave Gagasi FM after serving the radio creative machinery for seven years. I have enjoyed the ecstasy of winning and the anguish of losses as I saw others grow and others lost to Covid-19 and exit. I'm forever grateful," he said. Amid the news of Ntuli declining her offer at Gagasi,
