One of the WAGS in reality TV show, Diski Diva, has passed on. A close friend to the former reality TV star confirmed that Thandeka Nhleko, who was married to soccer player Nkosinathi Nhleko, passed away. "The family is still coming to terms with her death. She was sick, she died from a gallbladder infection on Saturday. She had been in and out of hospital and will be laid to rest this coming Saturday." the friend said.

LOVE

The businesswoman and motivational speaker met her ex-husband footballer in her first year of university through a friend. The two got married six months after dating. At the time, Thandeka was 19 years old and he was 23 years old and still playing for Jomo Cosmos. She fell pregnant the same year and had another child the following year. As his career grew, she had to balance being a mom, a WAG, and still fulfil her dreams. The couple divorced after 14 years of marriage following allegations of infidelity.

ABUSE

Thandeka has also in the past opened up about abuse in her marriage and how Nkosinathi beat her on several occasions in their multimillion-rand home in Meyersdal Estate and how she was rescued by the estate's security guards on many occasions. However, Nkosinathi dismissed the allegations, saying Thandeka was just jealous of his new wife. "All these stories come now because I just got married to my new wife. I'm hearing all these for the first time from you," he said at the time. "This woman must just move on as I have already moved on with my life. Let her go and press charges against me, we will meet in court."

REALITY

The reality show which lasted for three seasons showed the high-end glamorous lives and the private antics of the stars on and off the soccer pitch. Although Thandeka was not in the limelight anymore, the friend says she played a serious role in the South African show business and reality TV world. "She was one of the girls to get into reality TV before it was popular."
