Popular pastor, Ray McCauley was allegedly admitted to one of the Life Care hospitals last week. McCauley, a Senior Pastor of Rhema Bible Church, spent almost a week at the facility after complaining of stomach pains. A source at the hospital said McCauley, who turns 80 in October, was pale when he was admitted.
HIGH SPIRIT
According to the source, as days went by, he started responding well to treatment. "He was in high sprits when I saw him the second time when I was there to visit my relative at the hospital," said the source. According to another source close to the situation he has not been feeling well lately.
"Look the old man is old and someone his age is expected to be in and out of hospital at some point in time," adds the source. Around 2010 the Rhema Bible Church founder had an emergency operation after suffering a major heart attack on the eve of an interdenominational prayer day, before the World Cup.ZiMoja called a church representative known as Gaba for comment, she said they would revert back with an update and refer ZiMoja to a senior pastor but that hadn’t happened at the time of publishing.

An author of many books, McCauley was also a nightclub bouncer in his early years. McCauley, who was once a bodybuilder and Mr South Africa, took part in the Mr Universe bodybuilding championships in London in 1974. He finished in third place in that tournament. Currently he is the President of the International Federation of Christian Churches (IFCC) and co-chairperson of the National Interfaith Council of South Africa (NICSA).
