She launched her DJ career last year. Club hostess and make-up brand owner, Eva Modika, is taking her music career to the next level and has announced that she will be releasing her own music.
MAKING MUSIC
Popularly known for being on the reality show Diamond and Dolls, club hosting and being one of the first Mzansi celebrities to speak openly about her Brazilan Butt Lift, the controversial star tells ZiMoja that with the success of her career as a DJ, she will now be releasing music. "Yes, I have been working with some producers to make sure that I release a beautiful EP," she says. "I will start with dropping a single," she adds. She announced this at her 30th birthday celebration held at upmarket Room 130 in Sandton, Johannesburg. "My life is all about opulence and class and that is what I want my music to be, good quality and classy."
MASTER
Eva started taking up DJing lessons a few years ago and was working behind the scenes to try and master the craft. "A lot of female DJs are criticised. People think we can't play, that's why I needed to take time to practice before coming out and announcing. It's not about just hype and popularity but about making good music."
Eva joined the list of female DJs, such as Tango Supreme, Cyan Boujee, TxC, Uncle Waffles, Fae Fae, and many others but promised to bring her individuality to every set. "This year, I look forward to exploring my creativity and getting into producing music. I have been learning, and this year will come with great music and not just controversy."
