South African artists and DJs are slowly infiltrating the international stage. With the rise of Amapiano music, more Mzansi artists are being booked in Europe and the US. Durban producer and DJ Dlala ThukziN, real name Thuthuka Zindlovu recently got booked for a gig in Amsterdam and London but due to visa issues has had to cancel.

NO VISA

Dlala Thukzin was billed to make music lovers dance at the Abantu 3rd Birthday celebration on 18 August. But all plans crumbled when his visa was declined. According to the DJ, the issue was not with his UK visa but with Amsterdam. "Unfortunately I went through the application for my UK and EU Visa, but only my UK visa came back in time approved," he says. " So I am unable to make make it to Amsterdam, I’m sorry to all my fans and organisers."

MISSING OUT

The Phuze DJ says he has been looking forward to the event which also has Meedy from New York, Unruly Phoenix and Rancido, both from Amsterdam on the lineup. "If you are in Amsterdam and have a ticket, the line-up is very dope, so go enjoy the show! Thankfully, the club Parallel and the Descendants team and I are working on securing a new date this year," he adds.
