It was a beautiful day in Krugersdorp, the sun was out and guests were dressed up in traditional regalia to celebrate the wedding of news anchor Masechaba Ndlovu and music producer and singer Ntethelelo Faku Mposwa at their private ceremony. But chaos started when power outages disturbed the special day and a family member tried to stop the wedding.
WHEN IS STARTED
A guest at the wedding told ZiMoja that it was almost like the beginning of drama looming when the power went off. "Things just started going wrong from there. Things just took a turn when a drunk man objected to the couple getting married." The guest said the unknown drunk man took the phrase "speak now or forever hold your peace" literally and tried to stop the bride and groom from finalising their proceedings. "He staggered into the wedding, drunk as hell, nobody knew who he was and asked that Masechaba and Faku stop the wedding," the guest said. "He knew the groom and bride by name, so it was clear he was a guest."
DRUNK UNCLE
A close friend of the couple has revealed to ZiMoja that he is a man from the groom's side of the family. "He is a drunk uncle who had too much to drink. People thought it was an ex-lover or ex-husband. We can laugh about it now because it has passed, but it was so messy."
This is Masechaba's third union as she was previously married to businessmen Mfundo Ntsibande and Vusi Ndlovu. Masechaba said she married her best friend. "When we met in 2022, we invited God into our relationship and He's been our rock ever since," she said. "There have been challenges along the way, but through prayer and loving each other more, giving love to one another every day, we've managed to go to war and drag each other out alive. Now, as we start this new journey together, we trust God to guide us, knowing He ordained our relationship and blessed our marriage. To Him who is faithful, we give praise! ZiMoja made several attempts to get comments from Masechaba and Nthethelelo; however, these efforts were unsuccessful as they did not respond to our calls.
