Drama hits celebrity kids reality show

Robbie Malinga Jr has opened a criminal case

It is not all glitz and glam behind the scenes of the reality TV show called Born Into Fame. The son of the late legendary musician and producer Robbie Malinga, Robbie Junior Malinga has opened a case of intimidation and harassment against DJ Tira's son's girlfriend, Khanya Mtsaka.

CASE OPENED

According to a highly placed source, after Robbie Jr exposed Khanya on the show for being in his DM, Tank "The Rockstar" Khathi' girlfriend did not take it kindly. It's alleged that Khanya started hurling insults at Robbie Jr and threatened to make his life a living hell. A sources close to Robbie Jr told ZiMoja that he initially took the threats lightly, thinking that she was just bluffing. But the matter quickly escalated into him allegedly being followed by different cars.

BEING FOLLOWED

The source explained: "He started noticing different cars following him and he eventually told his mother Ann Malinga about the unknown cars that were following him especially after Khanya's threats." The source added that Ann confronted Khanya hoping that she would back off. Little did Ann know that the threats would escalate when the same car started following her too, even when she was dropping her young daughter off at school.

According to the source, Khanya would also send text messages allegedly threatening to harm Robbie Jr. "How can she follow a young man and start threatening him for something she did," asked the source.

Another source close to the production team, said Ann has reported the matter to the streaming platform and has raised the issue of her son being unhappy and intimidated and the direction that the show has taken, which she is not happy at with. She eventually forced her son to open a criminal case at the Douglasdale Police Station, north of Joburg.

TOXIC ENVIRONMENT

As if that was not enough, the source added that Robbie Jr might not be returning for the second season of the show because of the way he has been bullied by other cast members. "They often pick on him and make fun of him to a point that he doesn't enjoy being on set anymore. He would avoid attending their events," added the source.

Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko confirmed that a case of intimidation was opened against Khanya. "A case of intimidation has been opened and investigations is continuing," said Sibeko.
