Senzo 'Msezisto' Shezi, who was responsible for the management of artists at Afrotainment including DJ Tira has been fired with immediate effect over financial mismanagement. "It is with regret that we announce the departure of Mr. Senzo," Msenzisto" Shezi, effective immediately. Following an internal investigation," the statement says
HE ALLEGEDLY STOLE BOOKING MONEY MEANT FOR AN ARTISTS
According to a source at the stable, the manager was fired for allegedly stealing booking money meant for artists at the stable, including Dladla Mshunqisi. The source adds that Dladla became suspicious when he performed and did not receive any money for the gigs. He also did not receive his salary from August. "He confronted Dj Tira about his money and that's when it was discovered that Senzo had been stealing money from the company," the source said. The source also told ZiMoja that when Senzo would send invoices for bookings, he changed the account numbers from those of Afrotainment to his personal bank account.
"I think he targetted artists that he thought wouldn't confront Tira, but he was wrong about Dladla," Though the stable did not go into details about the reason behind Senzo's dismissal it said: "Mr Shezi was engaged in behaviour that is inconsistent with the standards and values of Afrotainment. At Afrotainment, we prioritise transparency, integrity and respect in all our business practices. The behaviour exhibited by this employee is not reflective of the values that we uphold. As a result, the decision has been made to part ways with him," the statement continued.
THE COMPANY ALSO REVEALED THE REPLACEMENT
The stable has already replaced Senzo with a new booking manager called Melody. "His departure will not affect the quality or delivery of our services. We remain dedicated to serving our clients with the same level of excellence and commitment that they have come to expect from us. We appreciate the support and understanding of our clients and the public during this difficult time. We are confident that this decision is in the best interest of our business," the statement said. Attempts to get a comment from Senzo proved fruitless as his phone rang unanswered.
