Popular hip-hop DJ and his celebrity make-up artist and influencer girlfriend are expecting their first baby. DJ Speedsta, real name Lesego Nkaiseng, and Lungile Thabethe are said to be excited and cannot wait to be parents.

MOTHERHOOD

The two have kept their relationship hush for some time. A close friend says the couple revealed they were expecting a baby to close friends and family only. "They shared the news with close friends and family. You know Lungile is all about aesthetics... She will announce the news in a massive photoshoot. She is an influencer so she will go all out, like her sister,' the friend says. Lungile is the younger sister to TV presenter and actress Ayanda Thabethe who had her second child in August 2023. Another friend says Lungile is ready for motherhood. "She can't wait for her baby to play with her sister's kids.'

Lungile has tried to cover the baby bump with no luck. "She is already showing and she is about five months. You can only hide a pregnancy for so long... but everyone is happy for her.' 

WEIGHT LOSS BEFORE BABY!

This year, Lungile opened up about her weight loss journey, after she had been struggling with shedding her teenage weight for years. Lungile said she went under the knife and did a gastric sleeve surgery in Turkey last year. "My sister had volunteered to travel with me, but unfortunately, she couldn't because she was seven months pregnant at the time. I would always stay around 80-85kg, nothing more than that. Over the 2021-2023 period, I skyrocketed all the way to 103.5kg. And for reference, I am 159 cm tall, so I have a very short frame to carry so much weight,' she said. "I started at 103.5kg, and I am currently at 75.6kg. That is a massive amount of weight to lose in such a small amount of time. The total cost of the procedure was about R60 000. I had to put down a deposit of R6000. The flights were around R40 000 to R50 000, this depends on how you prefer to fly.' she shared. Lungile was no available for comment. DJ Speedsta was baffled about how the news came out. "Who told you that?" he asked, before denying the pregnancy. "I am single. I don't know what you're talking about," he said and proceeded to speak to the person in the background. "Batho ba newspaper ba tena wayitsi (Journalists are irritating)' he said before hanging up.
