Controversial healer Dr Khehlelezi hospitalised

Dr Khehlelezi prophesied that two people from Ukhozi FM would pass on

Controversial traditional healer and prophet, Dr Khehlelezi, real name Bhongolethu Mzozo, has been in and out of a Durban hospital following an alleged emotional breakdown. The details around his illness are not yet clear; however, a close source has revealed to ZiMoja that he has been dealing with some stressful issues that have affected his health.

TROUBLED

This year, the healer has undergone some life challenges. He was recently evicted from his upmarket estate in Kwa-Zulu Natal following some financial difficulties. Earlier this year, his shisanyama business closed and was demolished after being auctioned off to a Durban businessman. "He has been having some serious financial issues that have affected his health,' the source said.

BACKLASH

Dr Khehlelezi is no stranger to controversy; earlier this year, he received backlash for predicting that Ukhozi FM would lose two of their employees through death. This was soon after Crown Gospel Award founder Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule's family announced that she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She died on 12 August. "I prophesied that there will be two people dying at the station. One person already died, and the Lord said two more would die," Khehlelezi said at the time. He went on to say that people needed to pray from different Christian churches and sangomas. He received backlash for the prophecy and later apologised, saying his intentions were not to harm anyone. Last year he was dragged to court by the Department of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities and the National Albinism Task Force of SA for making discriminatory comments against people with albinism. Contacted for comment, Khehlezi denied that he was admitted to the hospital. When we shared a picture of him in a hospital bed, he ignored our questions.
