Tall A$$ Mo threatens to sue a comedy podcast

Tol A$$ Mo has threatened to sue a comedy podcast

Comedian and actor turned sangoma Tall A$$ Mo has threatened to sue the People Need Comedy (PNC) podcast hosts if they do not apologise for calling him a scammer and fraudster.

NOT SO FUNNY

In an episode aired two weeks ago, the hosts, comedians Mpho Pops Modikoane, Tsitsi Chiumya, and Farieda Metsileng, called him a scammer who books upcoming comedians for events and does not pay them. According to an upcoming comedian, Oscar Omuhle, who also works behind the scenes at the podcast, Mo, whose real name is Mongezi Mahlangu, booked him twice and never paid him. He also said that Tall Ass Mo kept on claiming that he had transferred the money, but he never received it. In the clip, Oscar can be heard saying that Tall Ass called him a fraud who doesn't know whether he is a sangoma or a priest. "Mo is the biggest scammer that has happened in the comedy industry. He owes me money from two shows," said Oscar. He said after performing at a show at Mo's restaurant, a patron paid him R500, and Mo topped it up with another R500. Oscar said he was expecting an R1500 payment from the media personality and not the additional R500 he gave him. Oscar went to another show at Carnival City at the invitation of Mo after he promised to pay him R3000 for a show. He said he still has not been paid for his performance.

HE CLAIMS A STROKE AFTER THE PODCAST

According to a source close to both comedians, Mo claimed, in a letter sent by his lawyers to the podcast, that after the episode was aired, he suffered a mild stroke. The letter also said that he was subsequently admitted to a mental institution. The lawyers said he has since been released and is ready to fight the PNC podcast. A ZiMoja source who has knowledge about the issue of Mo and that he was going to sue PNC said the podcast has no intentions of apologising to Mo. "Those guys have facts, and they know what they were talking about. He won't get any apology from them," said the source. According to the letter sent to PNC, if the podcast fails to apologise to him, then Mo is going to sue them. When asked for comment, Mo was in a fighting mood as he dished out some obscene words against ZiMoja. He said, "Who told you about that? Don't f**k with me. I opened a restaurant, and you never called. Now you are asking me about those people I don't have time for. F**k you, man. Stop disturbing my peace." Bala Dama, the CEO of Podcast & Chill Network, which owns PNC, said: "I have not seen such a letter."
