Celebs we did not know were related

They've managed to keep their identities away from the prying eyes of the media and fans alike, but they are blood-related. And shockingly some of their uncanny lies right in front of our eyes. Zimoja takes a look at how some of our favourite stars have managed to keep their identity secret from the media.

KHOSI AND MANGALISO NGEMA

Khosi was introduced to the viewers of The Blood and Water cast. She portrayed the role of Fikile, who was the long-lost daughter that had been kidnapped from the Khumalo family. Khosi is the daughter of veteran actor and entrepreneur, Mangaliso who has appeared on Generations, Lithapo, Vehicle 19 and others. This father and daughter duo share the same passion and admiration for the film industry. This is because they both play their roles with so much fervour.

PROVERB AND LERATO MVELASE

Executive producer of South African talent search show Idols SA, businessman and an artist Proverb and Lerato Mvelase. People are often oblivious of the relations of these biological siblings simply because they do not share the same last name, as they share a mother. The genes of performance and excelling are notably in their DNA , as Lerato is an award-winning actress and a performer who has debuted on shows such as Home Affairs, Isibaya and Home Affairs, as she's now on etv's House of Zwide

MAMPOFU SIBLINGS

The Mampofu siblings , Lunathi and Oros have both taken on the industry strong. Many may confuse the Mampofu twins, Oros and Prince, however, Oros is the one that is more of a public figure than his twin brother. Oros is a professional MC and actor who rose to prominence after he appeared on SABC 1's Skeem Saam. Lunathi, the twins older sibling is easily a fan favourite with her versatility as she has appeared on The RiverIngozi, Fatal Seduction, Unmarried and now stars on 1802: Time Defies Love.

ZENANDE AND AKHENIME MFENYANE

This sister pair is definitely one of the most recognisable faces. The contribution of their craft to the South African film Zanande has appeared in many productions, including Generations, Ashes To Ashes among others. She's paved the way for her sister Akhenime , who currently stars in Gqeberha: The Empire.
