Celebs pay Da L.E.S a visit at home

DA L.E.S is recovering well from the stroke

He has been instrumental in supporting local designers and artists and has given opportunities to artists to record in his home studio. When his friend and rapper Kiernan "AKA' Forbes passed on, he was the first to visit the family and was present during their trying times. Industry friends have visited rapper Leslie 'Da L.E.S' Mampe in his time of need after suffering a stroke.

SUPPORT

Da L.E.S' friends and industry acquaintances; L-Tido, Cassper and Pastor Kabelo Mabalane visited the recovering rapper at his home to show their support and well wishes. A friend present on the day said Kabelo welcomed the gents with a prayer. "We had a prayer for his recovery, he is doing very well and we can't wait to have him up and back in the game again,' the friend said. "He is grateful to be alive, to see another day and so are we.' Other celebrities who have shown the rapper love during this time are Nigerian rapper Burna Boy, who lived at DA L.E.S' home at the start of his career. After Da L.E.S suffered a stroke, Burna Boy said he wished he was in the country. "My only pain right now is not being in South Africa with DA L.E.S. Tbo-Touch let me know what's going on last night at the show," he wrote in a social media post.

THE STROKE

Da L.E.S suffered a stroke and spent over a month in hospital. The stroke affected his mobility and speech. The All Eyes On Me musician was later taken out of the hospital by his family so they could care for him at his home as he was unable to get into a private ward at a public hospital.

Da L.E.S recently celebrated his daughter's birthday and was recovering well at home. After being discharged, he thanked his fans for their support.
