Brother kills sister for sleeping with his friend

A 19 year old killed his sister

The community of Mahlongwa in Scottburgh in the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal (KZN) is still reeling in shock after a teenager allegedly killed his sister for being in a relationship with his friend.

BEATEN TO DEATH

Skhumbuzo Mbambo (19) who is described as the well-known thug in the area is alleged to have killed Ntombenhle Mbambo (23) over a week ago and forced his parents to bury her the same day. According to the KZN based Ilanga newspaper, the incident took place in front of their mother Lindiwe Mbambo on Saturday morning. "I woke up in the early hours of Saturday and found myself running after Ntombenhle and beating her. When I asked him. Why he was beating his sister, Skhumbuzo told me that he was angry at her sister because Ntombenhle slept with his friend three weeks ago. He told us not to interfere as he wanted to teach her sister not to sleep with his friends," she told the paper.

FORCING HIS PARENTS TO BURY THE DECEASED

Mbambo further said that Skhumbuzo threatened to beat everyone in the family if they tried to stop him as he was assaulting Ntombenhle. "I will never forget the pain Skhumbuzo put me through. He beat my daughter until she was unable to run for her life. When he was done with her, she came into my bedroom and asked me to put her to bed. She was breathing heavily. What hurts the most is that she died in my arms," said Mbambo. The mother further told the publication that when Skhumbuzo noticed that Ntombenhle had died, he allegedly ordered his parents to wait until it was dark and bury her. "When our neighbours noticed that there was silence in our yard after a long commotion, they became suspicious and alerted our relatives. The relatives came and Skhumbuzo was the one doing the talking saying that Ntombenhle died from a headache. He threatened us and made swear to not say anything about his assaulting his sister, " she said. It is alleged that Skhumbuzo was abusing his parents if they refused to give him their pension grant to buy dagga and alcohol. KZN SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala said that Skhumbuzo was arrested on Wednesday. "A man was arrested, and he is facing the charges of murder, he appeared briefly before the Scottburgh Magistrates Court," Gwala said.
