GRATEFUL FOR EVERY OPPORTUNITY

He took to Instagram yesterday to confirm his departure from the Premier Soccer League champions. He said: "I would like to thank Mamelodi Sundowns fans, technical team and the President for the last two seasons. The relationship I have with the club is beyond the professional space, Sundowns will always be family to me and the entire Zungu family. I will always be grateful for every opportunity I was offered, so I say this with a heavy heart that I will be leaving the club.Thank you to all the amazing supporters who have been amazing to me throughout, I will always be grateful. I wish the team all the best, I know bigger success awaits you...." Zungu started his professional career when he joined the University of Pretoria from Dynamos at the start of the 2012?"13 season.

He helped AmaTuks to a top eight finish in the club?s debut campaign in the PSL. The midfielder leaves "Kabo Yellow" at a time when he won a championship medal with Sundowns. He missed out on the Nedbank medal when his team lost to Orlando Pirates at Mbombela Stadium a fortnight ago.

SOCCER WOES

Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United have parted ways with head coach, Lesotho national, Lehlohonolo Seema, who once captained Pirates. He was suspended by his team after he reportedly asked for a salary increase. Seema did not finish the league with the team, and yet he took them to a top-four finish in the DStv Premiership. This was their highest ever position since making a debut in the PSL. A week ago, First Division team, Baroka FC also fired their coach, Dan "Dance" Malesela. The former Pirates captain was replaced by Morgan Mammila, who himself was fired by Chippa United.

Mammila, who was hired as head coach, and later technical director at Chippa United, is trying to steer Baroka FC back to the DStv Premiership.

His team is currently playing in the First Division against fellow First Division team, Pretoria University and PSL team, Richards Bay.
