Taxi driver dumped his girlfriend for bogus doctor

This is the fake doctor that was nabbed on Sunday at Chris Baragwanath Hospital

When he met a woman who claimed to be a medical doctor, the taxi driver locked his girlfriend of years out of the place they were renting together. The bogus doctor, who made news this week after she was nabbed at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital in Soweto on Sunday, moved in to the place in Ormonde, south of Johannesburg.

BOGUS DOCTOR

The bogus doctor, known as MaZulu in Ormonde, attempted to solicit a R700 bribe from a patient. But the patient's relative reported her, authorities set a trap for her and before she knew it, she was behind bars.

According to new information that has since been obtained by Zimoja, MaZulu is a big a gambler at Bara Taxi Rank and at Egoli Inn Hotel in Joburg. "She came to stay in Ormonde with her taxi driver boyfriend after she stole him from his fianc? Nqobile Khumalo," a source confirmed.

Speaking to Zimoja, Khumalo confirmed separating with his fianc? after "Dr Zulu" moved in with him in December after she had gone home to KZN to visit her family.

"I don't really want to talk about my personal life in the media. Jesus is dealing with them decisively for all the things they did to me. I had been looking after that man for years when that woman came into the picture in August last year. A few months later she moved in with my ex. The locks at my place were changed in my absence in December. I was kicked out like a dog. There is more to come out about that woman," she said.

FOREIGN NATIONAL

It has since emerged that the bogus doctor is actually not from Umsinga in KZN, but she's from Zimbabwe. "I heard rumours that she was lying about her nationality. She's from Zimbabwe but just because she speaks fluent isiZulu she thinks she can fool anyone. She has no family in KZN. She is a well-known gambler in Jozi CBD and there is a reason she decided to move to Ormonde," another source said. The bogus doctor appeared at the Orlando Magistrates Court on Monday but her case was postponed.
