Award winning rapper Big Zulu and maskandi artist Mthandeni "Igcokama Elisha" Manqele have settled their differences after years of not seeing eye to eye. The two have not been talking to each other after Mthandeni accused the Inkabi Records owner of copying his fashion style, claiming he was the one who brought the Brentwood style in the music industry.
THE BEEF
Mthandeni even called Big Zulu "The Zulu Papa Penny" because of his hairstyle. This angered Big Zulu, real name Siyabonga Nene, who in return released a video where he vowed to give Mthandeni a good beating whenever he meets him. "You go around telling people that you are not scared of me and that I'm trying by all means to be like you, yet we are not in the same league. When I met with you in Montrose, you couldn't face me, instead you ran into your car and quickly drove off. Why? Because you're a small boy who only make noise on social media. Say those things to face to face, I'll show you that you're just a small boy," Big Zulu said in the video. The two recently had a fallout again over the Paris song where Big Zulu accused Mthandeni of not paying Lwah Ndlunkulu for a feature. Big Zulu further made claims that Mthandeni never consulted Inkabi Records when he made the song with Lwah Ndlunkulu. This led to Big Zulu who is regarded as the ally of Khuzani Mpungose blocking Lwah Ndlunkulu from performing at the Paris celebration event that was held in Mdletsheni in Hluhluwe in the far north of KZN.
MAKING PEACE
Recently, the two shared a picture of themselves together at a carwash chilling while their cars were being washed. "It's now water under the bridge. They have buried their hatred towards one another. I won't be surprised to see Lwah Ndlunkulu teaming up with Mthandeni again. After all, Lwah Ndlunkulu and Mthandeni are homies. They were both of them are born and raised in Hluhluwe. It's a good that they have ironed things out, good for music fraternity," said one close source. When contacted for comment, Big Zulu said: "So you expect me to talk to you about my private life? We are not friends, and I don't answer to you." Attempts to get comment from Mthandeni proved fruitless as his phone rang unanswered.
