Socialite and TV personality, Babalwa Mneno, has taken legal action against influencer and reality TV star Inno Morolong for making defamatory statements about her on social media. Among the demands, the former model wants Inno to publicly apologise for 'defametory' statements she made about her on all her social media platforms and three newspapers.
SHE ACCUSED BABALWA OF BEING A PIMP
According to legal papers, which ZiMoja is in possesion of, Babalwa claims Inno made several defamatory statements about her on her social media accounts, which have caused her a great deal of distress and harm to her reputation. These statements allegedly include accusations of drug use and promiscuity, which Babalwa denies. Mneno has stated that she will not tolerate such behaviour and that she will do everything in her power to clear her name and protect her reputation. She has already hired a legal team to take action against Inno and is determined to see the matter resolved in court.
BABALWA DRAGS INNO TO COURT
Inno has not yet issued a statement regarding the matter, but it is believed that she will contest the allegations made against her. If found guilty of defamation, she could face substantial damages and legal costs. According to Babalwa defamation is a serious matter and can have severe consequences for both the person making the defamatory statements and the person being defamed. "It is important for everyone to be mindful of the impact of their words and actions, particularly on social media where statements can quickly spread and cause harm. My lawyers will deal with her. She has been bullying me for so long and I have been losing jobs. She is the one that has been bullying me and I have everything on record."
